Trudy White runs writing and visual art workshops for children and adults. Through discussion with the school, Trudy develops a talk or workshop to suit the group, considering the age range, the number of participants, and the resources available.

Recent school visits include Preshil, Collingwood College, Fintona, Mentone Girls’ Grammar, Box Forest College, Geelong Grammar and the Cirque du Soleil school, as well as workshops for the Centre for Youth Literature in the State Library of Victoria, and at ArtPlay on Birrarung Marr.

At Collingwood College, grade five students created a collage mural about the school’s kitchen garden for a corridor at their school.

At ArtPlay, primary school groups answered questions from the book ‘Could You? Would You?’. They learned how to paint with ink and created a large installation of pictures.

In 2002, Trudy facilitated an Arts Victoria Artists in Schools project ‘Small Books Tall Stories’ at Geelong High School. Through excursions and talks, students gathered information and created stories about Geelong, which were developed and published as an illustrated book
